Tony Willis and the 5 Elements Team

Tony Willis Sifu

Tony Willis Sifu (MBA FCMI) is the Chief Instructor at 5 Elements Martial Arts. Tony has been training in the martial arts for over 30 years and continues to learn from some of the best instructors and Academies in the World.

As an example Tony has recently been to the Renzo Gracie Academy in New York for additional BJJ training and has travelled to Thailand for the past 4 years to increase his coaching abailities in kickboxing and picking up additional techniques in Muay Thai.

Tony gained his instructors qualification in Chow Gar in 1999 and is a Master Grade in Kickboxing, 3rd grade instructor in Filipino Martial Arts and a qualified WAKO  Coach. He continues to train in Chow Gar and Ba Gua under Master Paul Whitrod, Filipino Martial Arts under Guro Krishna Godhania, and submission grappling with Fergus Dullaghan.

Tony travelled to Vietnam and China to increase his expertise in Qi Gong, Tai Chi and Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Tony is a Senior Technical Director and Head of all Chinese Martial Arts for the BFKKO. A WAKO qualified judge and Referee in Kickboxing, Low kick and K1 style ring sports.

He has featured in many of the English and American Martial Arts Magazines and is qualified in Traditional Dit Dar Shaolin medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine.

He began in the martial arts over 35 years ago initially learning Taekwondo. Tony tried a number of schools over the years and enjoyed training sessions with many instructors. Those that Tony remembers as being particularly impressive were Sensei's Pat O'Keefe and Dev Barrett but due to relocating around the country these lessons had to be cut short. As for seminars Tony particularly remembers enjoying those by Masters He Il Cho and Jeremy Jau.

5 Elements Team

Kellie Willis, Mike Brooks, Fergus Dullaghan, Simon Best, Wesley Scott, Nick Lumb, Audrey Beagle and Colin Heard are the other members of the 5 Elements Team, each bringing fantastic abilities and enthusiasm to the school.

Our Instructors team are recognised through the organisations the school is associated with. The World Kickboxing Association (WKA), British Freestyle Karate & Kickboxing Organisation (BFKKO), International Chow Gar Kung Fu Association, Warrior Eskrima and National Education System for Training (NEST).

They have undergone intensive training in the philosophy of teaching and use the most modern systems available. We also have access to a range of visiting instructors through our links with a range of the most successful martial arts organisations in the world.

 

The BFKKO is the British Freestyle Karate and Kickboxing Organisation
