Fergus Dullaghan will be joining the coaching team concentrating on enhancing the grappling skills taught as part of the MMA training. (Mixed Martial Arts, sometimes called Cage Fighting). Tony Willis Chief Instructor said “This is fantastic news for our students and gives us a top flight instructor to enhance the skills of our MMA students for takedowns and ground fighting.”
Fergus is an international judo player with 25 years of martial arts experience. As a former full-time elite judo athlete with Team Bath (2006-2008), and member of the Welsh National Judo Team, Fergus has competed and trained all over the world. Between May - October 2008 he was officially ranked 4th in the UK (British judo's World Class Performance Program) and has remained consistently in the country's top ten ranked fighters since October 2006. Currently he trains at British judo headquarters in Dartford. He also holds a blue belt in Gracie Jiu Jitsu under Robin Gracie in Barcelona. His coaches include: Neil Adams, Robin Gracie, Patrick Roux (GB National Judo Coach), Jurgan Klinger (ex-German National Coach), Steve Clarke (5th dan).
