Juniors Kickboxing classes are held on Monday and Wednesday after school and on Saturday mornings. Contact us for more details and check the latest timetable. There is also a Thursday Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Class available for those that prefer grappling.
At 5 Elements Martial Arts we ensure that the training we supply for our junior students is both highly rewarding and great fun. We develop students with important values including courtesy, respect, patience, confidence, self esteem, positive attitude and indomitable spirit.
Our Junior program is aimed at children between the ages of 9 and 13 years. These classes are 45 minutes in duration with 3 monthly evaluations. This is to ensure that concentration is maintained in the classes and the regular evaluations provide support to the students while establishing the concept of goal setting. Our instructors will work with the students through an established reward system to ensure active participation at all levels.
Every 6 weeks we hold a Martial Arts Badge assesment which provides additional goal setting for the students.

Juniors Competition Squad
Following an increase in the expertise of our Juniors and a request for them to be able to compete we have looked at this very carefully over the past year and have decided it is now time to start a competition squad for our Juniors. This will be open to any of our junior members who have permission from their parents to compete. We will work with each student on an individual basis to help them progress to a level where they can compete. When we believe they are ready we will agree with the student and their parents the most appropriate type of competition for them as an individual at that time. This could either be Light continuous kickboxing, Junior Muay Thai or submission grappling.
As a guideline we expect approximately 5 to 10% of our Juniors to compete.
