First Kickboxing Win at British Championships

5 Elements Martial Arts
Steven Attfield from 5 Elements Martial Arts in Basildon won his first Full Contact Kickboxing fight at the World Association of Kickboxing Organisations (WAKO) on Saturday 17 February.
WAKO are the kickboxing organisation selected by the International Olympic Committee. Steven is 18 years old and one of the instructors for the Little Dragon and Junior classes at 5 Elements Martial Arts.
Tony Willis, Chief Instructor of 5 Elements Martial Arts who trained Steven and worked in the corner for the fight said “for his first fight Steve fought brilliantly completely dominating the fight and taking the unanimous decision. We couldn’t have asked for a better start to his career as a fighter and this is a great start for our new full time school based in Basildon which opens in March.”
Head of Full Contact and British Squad Manager for WAKO, Master Cris Janson-Piers said “I thought he did excellent and I wish to see him at all trials and events from now on!”
Kickboxing is one of the martial arts taught at 5 Elements with the classes aimed at both the recreational student looking for simple fitness training and those students looking to compete at National and International level. New applicants receive 2 FREE trial lessons and a free Uniform when they join. 5 Elements teach Kickboxing, Southern Mantis Kung Fu and Eskrima in Basildon and will be opening a full time school in Cranes Farm Road, Basildon in March 2007.
