5 Elements Competition Squad Member Wayne Russell completed the 5k run at Gloucester Park, Basildon in aid of St Lukes Hospice. Well done Wayne.

Chloe (Kloe) competing as the 1st female full contact fighter at 5 Elements put on a fantastic performance to win her fight against her opponent in an away match which makes this an even better result. Great effort and fantastic determination. Well done.

Chief Instructor of 5 Elements Martial Arts in Basildon, Essex, Tony Willis recently passed his practicle and written exams to qualify as a judge and referee for WAKO full contact and K1 style kickboxing.

Tony said " Its great to be recognised as a fully qualified referee for the biggest kickboxing organisation, this not only gives me new opportunities but will also considerably help our up and comming fighters with a far deeper knowledge of the rules and scoring."

Once again 5 Elements held a Summer BBQ for all adult members and parents of their juniors and Little Dragons. Each year the free BBQ attracts a large number of people and is part of the social side of the 5 Elements Martial Arts.

We were proud to see Cheryl Hagger feature in a half page photograph in one of the leading martial arts magazines - COMBAT. This was in relation to an article World Chamion Kerry Louise Norbury wrote about the recent training camp in Lanzarote.

Stuart Tyler of 5 Elements Martial Arts in Basildon will be fighting Alberto "The Bull" from Spain in a K1 style kickboxing show in December 2009.

5 Elements of Basildon, Essex is proud to announce that Kloe Wilson will be the first female full contact kickboxing fighter to compete. Kloe will be fighting over 3 rounds on an IKF sanctioned bout in September.

Michael Brooks is to fight in September over 5 rounds for an IKF amateur Title.

Once again students from 5 Elements Kickboxing took part in Race for Life in Gloucester Park Basildon on 14th June 2009. We would like to thank all students who took part or supported those who did as this is such a worth while cause. Chief Instructor Tony Willis would like to praise his wife Kellie Willis who once again took part. Well done to you all.

Six 5 Elements martial Arts Kickboxing Students travelled to the fantastic sports complex of Club La Santa in lanzarote with 5 Elements Chief Instructor Tony Willis from the 4th to 11th of June 2009. The course was organized by head of WAKO GB Ringsports Cris Janson-Piers and 7 times World Champion Kerry-Louise Norbury. This is the 2nd year that 5 Elements has attended the course and everyone had a fantastic time training at least twice a day while taking time out to relax by the pool between sessions.
