Michael Brooks (19) from 5 Elements Martial Arts in Basildon won his first fight after winning the Amateur British Title in February. Michael fought Mark Berry from Blackpool and won all 3 rounds to cement a great start to his kickboxing career.

Chris Lovell who won silver at the British Championships also won his fight against a solid opponent Scott Nicholls from Mansfield.

Tony Willis, Chief Instructor of 5 Elements Martial Arts who trained Michael and Chris worked in their corner for the fights said “They both fought with great courage and showed excellent control of the ring, following on from our success at the championships earlier in the year this helps the club move forwards to competing regularly at these events”.  Getting in the ring fighting full contact is something that many people dream of but few achieve.

Kickboxing is one of the martial arts taught at 5 Elements with the classes aimed at both the recreational student looking for simple fitness training and those students looking to compete at National and International level.
